Isaiah 13:19
And Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms,
The beauty and the pride of the Chal·de′ans,
Will be like Sod′om and Go·mor′rah when God overthrew them.
Jeremiah 50:13
Because of the indignation of Jehovah she will not be inhabited; She will become utterly desolate. Anyone passing by Babylon will stare in horror And whistle because of all her plagues.
Who destroys Babylon?
Isaiah 44:28
The One saying of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd,
And he will completely carry out all my will’;
The One saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’
And of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid
Isaiah 13:17
Here I am raising up against them the Medes,
Who regard silver as nothing
And who take no delight in gold.
Has Babylon been revived into a functioning city that resembles anything of it's past glory?
